Some semblance of hope for Ghana sports was initiated with the announcement of the reinstatement of embattled Pius Enam Hadzide suspended deputy minister of sports and Kwadwo Baah Agyeman suspend chairperson of the board of the national sports authority.
A statement issued by the communication directorate of the Jubilee house and signed by director of communications Eugene Arhin said, a submitted report to the President on the enquiry into the allegation of visa racketeering in the ‘Australia visa scandal’ investigated by the criminal investigation department (CID) of the Ghana police service in which the two were fingered contained no adverse findings against them hence their recall by the President of the republic.
With all the brouhaha surrounding Ghana sports lately, the reinstatement of this two key players in Ghana’s sports administration is a welcome relief for Ghana sports and its way forward. This move by the President is ultimately a strong statement to put Ghana sports back on track and reclaim its sunken glory.
